Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct (M.A.S.T.) summarises our core values at ISW. Rules and regulations are often long documents that are not always easy to remember. M.A.S.T. makes it easier to address behaviour and helps everyone in the school community interact in a respectful manner.

The name M.A.S.T. was chosen deliberately because of its nautical meaning, which fits well with the identity of our school: a mast provides direction and stability, just as we hope this code of conduct will do within our school. Furthermore, it is a recognisable and simple acronym that has the same meaning in both Dutch and English.

The four core values of M.A.S.T. are:
M – Met respect | Mutual Respect
A – Aanspreekbaar | Accountability
S – Samen voor veiligheid | Safety
T – Teamwork
